A. Lecturing 1. History of ferrocement 2. ACI PRC-549.1-18: Design Guide for Ferrocement 3. Approval for use in design and construction 4. Physical and mechanical properties: reinforcing parameters, ultimate strength under static load, first-crack strength under static load, elasticity and load-deformation behaviour, strength under fatigue loading, strength under fatigue loading, Impact resistance, crack development and leakage, shrinkage and creep, durability, fire resistance 5. Performance criteria: design methods, allowable tensile and compressive stress, volume fraction and specific surface of reinforcement, cover requirements, crack width limitations, stress range 6. Design methods: strength requirements, service load design, serviceability, particular design parameter, design aid, calculation of volume fraction of reinforcement
