Course Learning Outcomes

Student’s Competencies:

Being able to:

1.      Identify the history of road settlement, the type of pavement as well as materials used (C1;6)

2.      Categorize subgrade: subgrade requirements on native soil, embankment, excavated, CBR, plasticity, density, plate bearing, and DCP (C2;3)

3.      Categorize aggregate: variety, characteristics, size distribution (C2;3)

4.      Examine engineering properties and grain size distribution (C4;21)

5.      Explain and to classify asphalt: the types and characteristics of asphalt, as well as testing the physical properties of asphalt (C2; 2-C3; 14-C4;21)

6.      Explain asphalt mixture with aggregates (C2;18)

7.      Explain, analyzing, measure and  to design material by empirical methods, characteristics of rigid pavement, and the performance of road pavement (C2; 2-C4; 1-C5; 20-C6;18)

8.      Classify, analyze, assess, and to conclude the test results of road pavement mixture and materials (C3; 14-C4; 1-C5; 2-C5;4)

9.      Elaborate road maintenance (C2;2)
