Course Learning Outcomes |
Student’s Competencies: Being able to: 1. Explain the history of irrigation around the world specifically Indonesia, irrigation nomenclature, types of irrigation system (gravity, sprinklers, drip, pumps) and irrigation hierarchy (C2;2) 2. Calculate evapotranspiration, effective rain, plant coefficient, percolation, WLR, and NFR (C2;2) 3. Determine irrigation system category, being able to calculate planting schedule as well as water distribution (C4;1) 4. Design irrigation route, off-taking canal, and canal (C6;20) 5. Calculate and design dam and its complementary components for irrigation purpose (wier, sluice way, toe protection) (C3; 16-C6;18) 6. Analyze operation and maintenance patterns of irrigation system (C4;1) 7. Design drip and sprinklers irrigation for plantations (C3;16) 8. Calculate and analyze swamp irrigation (C3; 16-C4;1) 9. Calculate and analyze the tidal irrigation (type a, b, c and d) (C3; 16-C4;1) 10. Calculate and analyze drainage module (DM) (C3; 16-C4;1)
Practical work:
Objective: Capable of being irrigation analyst with the abilities to: 1. Operate irrigation system in compliance with safety regulation (P3;10) 2. Manage water resources for the irrigation purpose (P4;5) 3. Collect data for design purpose (P1;6) 4. Draw the layout of irrigation areas, irrigation channels and complementary structures (P4;10) 5. Use irrigation parameters according to standard regulation (P4;5) 6. Design guidelines for irrigation operation and maintenance according to design criteria (P2-3) 7.
