Couse Learning Outcomes

Student’s Competencies:

Being able to

1.      Identify and to describe physical, mechanical, and chemical properties of building materials: cement, concrete, green concrete, steel, timber, bricks, polymer, additive materials, materials of the future, introduction to composite material, noise protection material, according to the related Indonesian National Standard (SNI), with an emphasis on climate change and coastal condition. (C1;6-C2;2)

2.      Define concrete and to elaborate the composition of concrete (C2;2)

3.      Make concrete mix design as required (C6;20-P2;3)

4.      Describe the quality of materials such as steel, timber, and other common materials of civil infrastructure with an emphasis on climate change and coastal condition (C2;2)

5.      Elaborate and explain building materials used for walls, roofs and floors (C1;8-C2;2)

6.      Elaborate and explain the type and quality of paint (C1;8-C2;2)

7.      Examien, analyze, and showing diagrams of steel in tension (C4;2-C4;1-C5;2-C5-4)

 

Laboratory Practice:

Objective:

1.      To test and analyze physical quality and mechanical material of concrete and steel (C4;21-C4:1)

2.      To test the quality of the concrete mixing materials, and test the quality of the aggregate against the weather (C4;21)

3.      To Produce concrete of a certain quality, and identifying the concrete sustainability (P2;7-P3;8)

4.      To test and calculate pressure (C6;18-C6;15-C4;21-P2;2-P2;7)

5.      To observe and rate the quality of mixing from compression test crack pattern (C5;2-P2;7)

6.      To test and calculate concrete strength (C4;21-C3;16-P2;2-P2;7)

7.      To test, calculate and draw resisting tension of the steel (C4;21-C3;16-P2;2-P2;7-P3;8).
