Course Learning Outcomes |
Student’s competencies: Being able: 1. Explain and to determine the types of soil consolidation (C1;3-P4;8) 2. Explain, calculate, and analyze land subsidence (C1;3-C3;16-C4;1) 3. Explain, discuss, and calculate soil lateral pressure as well as referring it to real case studies (C1;3-C2;15-C3;16) 4. Explain various permeability soil tests as well as its implementation (C2;2-C4;11) 5. Explain and to classify types of shear test both in laboratory and in-situ (C2;2-C3;14-P4;8) 6. Explain and to classify types of triaxial tests (C2;2-C3;14) 7. Explain and to clasify as well as calculating and analyzing slope stability (C2;2-C3;14-C3;14-C3;16-C4;1-P4;8)
Laboratory work: Student’s competencies: 1. Demonstrate, operate and determine the compression coefficient (Cc), consolidation coefficient (Cv), compression index, as well as being able to determine pre-consolidated stress and use it to classify soil condition (P2;2-P3;10-C3;9) 2. Demonstrate and to operate various soil testing apparatus (P2;2-P3;10). 3. Determine permeability coefficient, CBR value in lab as well as in-situ (C3;9), calculating the value of soil shear strength (C3;17), determining the strength of unconfined compressive strength (C5;20), a well as simulating loading condition (C3;22)
